You certainly don't have to. While we would love all of our friends and family in one place, we know that bunks may not be for everyone. You are welcome to choose to stay somewhere nearby and drive in for the events.
We do recommend that if you choose to stay somewhere else, you also either rent a car or drive your own. It is not a guarantee that you will be able to get an Uber or taxi from the towns nearby or the camp.
To book a cabin simply indicate on your RSVP Form, which will be live on this website when official invites are sent out.
Please note that we have booked out the entire camp for the weekend and are personally assigning cabins to you ourselves. You will receive a cabin assignment from us when we receive all our RSVPs. You do not need to contact the camp to book anything. We have more than enough space for everyone who wants to stay.
Nothing at all!
Seriously, it's our treat. Just bring your twin bedding + towels for yourself and other members of your party, and you'll be all set. We recommend bringing two towels, so you have one for bathing and one for the pool and lake.
Please note cabins are ONLY for Friday and Saturday nights.
On Friday, dinner will be provided at the Welcome Party.
On Saturday, breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided.
On Sunday, there will be one last breakfast together before everyone checks out.
Outside of meal times, there will be snacks and drinks (beer, wine, soft drinks, water) provided.
Check out our cabin photos in the Gallery section and also feel free to check out Camp Wayfarer's website. All we ask is that you bring your own twin bedding and towels for you and the members of your party.
At the lake, there will be canoes and a Water Blob. (What's a blob you may ask? Have you ever seen the 90's classic Heavyweights? If not, do yourself the favor.) There's also a pool, pickleball, hiking trails, and tennis courts. We also expect to have some other fun activities planned, and we will give you a schedule at check-in, and they'll be posted to this website before Camp B+E kicks off.
The camp is an easy 20-25 minute drive from the Asheville Regional Airport. From there, you can easily hire an Uber or taxi or rent a car, if you prefer.
If you are staying at camp and choose not to rent a car, there will be a shuttle on Sunday morning during check-out to help you get back to the airport.
Asheville is beautiful and a lot of fun, so it makes sense to us that people want to visit. (Asheville even got a shout-out this year from the New York Times' 52 Places to Visit in 2025!) Asheville is a 30-40 minute drive from Camp Wayfarer. Once you hit I-26 it is a very easy straight shot into Asheville. You could easily extend your stay and plan a getaway to Asheville.
Absolutely! We respect everyone's decisions as to their sleeping arrangements. We will be setting up an RSVP page on our schedule section of the website to let us know what activities with food you will be attending so we know we have enough for everyone. Absolutely everyone is invited to all events and activities regardless of where you lay your head at night. Feel free to come and go as you please!
It's a summer camp, and we want you to feel comfortable. Feel free to wear casual clothes all weekend except at the Ceremony and Reception. During the Ceremony and Reception, we ask that you wear Semi-Formal or Dressy Casual.
We are happy to spend any and all time with our guests. However, we know that a full weekend of activities may not be possible for everyone. Please indicate on your RSVP if you will not be able to attend certain events.
We would love for you to be able to join us and stay at camp, no matter when you arrive. Please just let us know of your arrival on your RSVP when available, so we can make sure you are accounted for AND that someone is ready to check you in and show you around.
Each individual invitation will include the name/number of people who we hope will be able to share the day with us. Although we love your kids and are sure we would like any plus one you would bring, if there is not a name/plus one spot, please do not bring an extra guest, including your children.
We ask that you for sure bring two towels for yourself, linens for a twin-sized bed, and a pillow, if you are staying at camp. Otherwise, bring comfy clothes, a bathing suit, and something cute to wear for the Big Event (Ceremony + Reception.)
Leading up to Camp B+E, the best people to contact are Brendon and Emily. You already have one of their phone numbers.
When you arrive, we will make sure you know who your Camp B+E Counselors are. They'll be able to answer any questions you may have during camp.
